Fairhaven Flour moves to Burlington

Jan 13th, 2011 | Category: News

BURLINGTON – The Fairhaven Organic Flour Mill, started as a co-operative in Bellingham in 1974, has moved to Burlington. The new, larger facility has an additional hammer mill, and is located at 808 N. Hill Boulevard, near the I-5 freeway.  The mill, the only organic flour mill in the state, was sold to current owners Kevin and Matsuko Christenson in 2007. Flour offerings include whole wheat, wheat pasta, cornmeal, rye, rice, oat, buckwheat, soy, spelt, millet, and barley. According to a press release, “space limitations at the Bellingham site precluded more output. The new mill location allows room for equipment to expand into new grains and to produce dedicated gluten free flours,” including rice, oat, buckwheat, soy and millet. For more information, contact (360) 757-9947 or visit www.fairhavenflour.com. Walk-in customers are welcome between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
