Two cider making workshops set

SKAGIT – The Northwest Agriculture Business Center is hosting two one-day workshops for businesses interested in cider making. The workshops are open to new businesses and current ones involved in the craft.  “The Business of Making Hard Cider” will be held Saturday, June 30, and includes information from industry professionals about production, economics, marketing, and more. A tasting of local ciders and cheeses will follow. The second workshop, “The Business of Growing Cider Apples,” will be held Saturday, July 21, and details apple varieties and orchard establishment, as well as operational costs and how to produce and sell cider. Both workshops are sponsored by NABC, in conjunction with WSU-Northwest Washington Research & Extension Center and the Northwest Cider Association.
