Jun 11th, 2013 | Category: News

BOW – Breadfarm is celebrating its 10th anniversary and will be offering the public hands-on tours of the bakery, located at 5766 Cains Court, Edison, on Saturday June 29. Tours will conducted at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. and will showcase mixing, bread shaping and baking in a hearth stone oven. The event is free and open to the public. Reservations required by June 24. Scott Mangold, owner and head baker of Breadfarm, says, “We’re looking forward to opening our doors to the public, discussing and demonstrating the processes of artisan bread baking. Small scale baking is gaining momentum nationwide and the recent growth of our regional grain economy is reinvigorating us as bakers. The support of our community over the past 10 years, has been incredible, giving people some hands-on time with dough and sharing what we know is a fun way to give back.” For more information, contact Virginia Nordin at office@breadfarm.com or call 360-766-4065. Breadfarm (Edison) will be one of 56 bakeries participating in The Bread Bakers Guild of America’s 3rd Annual International Bakery Open House on June 29.
