ANACORTES – The second annual Tour de Coops & Crops will be held Saturday, July 27 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in Anacortes. Participants can pick up maps at the Anacortes Farmer’s Market Info Booth or at Linda Zielinski’s chicken workshop at the Depot that morning from 10 a.m. to noon. The tour features information about chicken breeds, coop styles, and basic flock care, as well as year-round gardening with raised beds, fruits and berries, and how to have an urban farmstead. The event is sponsored by Eat Your Yard, a project of Transition Fidalgo & Friends.
