Bellingham Beer Week takes place Sept. 20-29, featuring dozens of events during this 10-day celebration of craft beer. All of Bellingham’s craft breweries – Chuckanut Brewery, Boundary Bay Brewery and Kulshan Brewery – plus many regional breweries, numerous pubs, beer stores, restaurants, and other businesses will be hosting beer-related events throughout the area.

A number of brewers’ nights are planned as well as tap takeovers, featuring breweries like North Fork (of Deming) Ninkasi, Yakima Craft, Firestone Walker, Sierra Nevada, Elysian, Fremont, Laurelwood, and more. Many special-release beers available, including a collaboration beer by Kulshan, Chuckanut and Boundary Bay, which will be canned on Friday, September 20.

The Pickford Film Center’s Limelight Cinema will be showing Beer Hunter: The Movie, a documentary about the late beer and whiskey writer Michael Jackson. Elizabeth Station will have multiple events, including an Aged Barleywine Night and a couple Beer-and-Food Pairing Dinners. Kulshan Brewery will have a Beer Trivia Night, among other events. Chuckanut Brewery and Village Books will be hosting author John Holl, who will talk about his new book, The Craft Beer Cookbook. The Copper Hog will have many events, including the return of the “Barleywood Squares” live game show, a Lager Off event, and an IPA Challenge with 18 IPAs on tap one evening. North Corner Brewing Supply and members of the Bellingham Homebrewers Guild will be having a homebrew demonstration. A Bellingham Bay Oktoberfest Cruise will set sail 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27.
