‘Favorite landmark’ theme for this year’s Gingerbread house contest

BELLINGHAM – The annual Gingerbread House Contest held at the Port of Bellingham’s Annual Holiday Festival features a “favorite landmark” them this year. Now in its 18th year, the contest is free and open to all ages and abilities. Contestants can compete in the themed category or other categories. The contest is part of the Holiday Port Festival, a free Port of Bellingham event that takes place at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal Dec. 6-8. Many of the entries are donated to a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting the local Mount Baker Chapter of the American Red Cross. The deadline to turn in an entry form is Monday. Dec. 2. Entries must be delivered Wednesday, Dec. 4 to the Bellingham Cruise Terminal second floor. Entry forms and rules can be downloaded from www.portofbellingham.com/gingerbreadcontest or by calling the Port at (360) 676-2500.
