EVERETT – The Clothing and Textile Advisors (CTA) of Snohomish County in partnership with Washington State University Extension 4H Youth Development seek donations of fabric, notions, trims, patterns, related books, magazines, yarn, and needlework items for their 4th Annual Fabric Sale. The proceeds from this sale go to support Camp Stitch-a-Lot and other community sewing programs. The sale will be held Saturday, June 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the McCollum Park Education building behind the WSU Extension office at 600 128th Street SE in Everett. Donations will be accepted at that location on Friday, June 20 between 2 and 8 p.m. Donations can be made prior to June 20 by contacting: Central Snohomish County, e-mail Julie at jameanor@gmail.com; or North County, call Midge at (425) 319-3351.

In other news, the group will be offering Camp Stitch-a-Lot June 23-27 and July 7-11 for youth ages 8-17. This year CSAL is offering beginner classes on sewing, knitting and crochet. Each class starts with the fundamentals of the craft and finishes with the creation of an item, such as knit fingerless gloves or a sewn tote bag. Classes are held at McCollum Park in Everett.  Advance registration is required. Registration closes May 31 and class sizes are limited.
