Growing Veterans is now a vendor on Thursdays at the VA Hospital in Seattle. The group brings their produce, grown on a few acres outside of Lynden, as well as items from their partner organization, Growing Washington, based in Everson. Laura Merritt, of VA Puget Sound Health Care System, worked with Growing Veterans to bring the group to the Seattle Division. Custer resident and military veteran Matt Aamot (right, with Merritt) is the group’s Volunteer/Outreach Coordinator and took the first load down in June.
