Bellingham Farmers Market open Wednesdays at Fairhaven Village Green

Jun 1st, 2015 | Category: News

FAIRHAVEN – The Bellingham Farmers Market kicks off its Wednesday market on the Fairhaven Village Green starting June 3.

Fourteen farmers will bring fresh produce, plants, chicken, salmon sausages, mushrooms, flowers and more to the Wednesday Market, and screen-printed clothing, jewelry, and fine art are just a few of the items that our craft vendors will offer. Kids love Chelle Beautiful face-painting and balloon fairies, and Henna Moon offers henna tattoos.

In response to customer requests, we have more ready-to-eat food options for lunchtime, including Superior Soups (seasonal soups), Juanita’s (Mexican favorites), India Grill, and Simmering Tava (Indian). Jack Mountain Meats will be offering charcuterie and locally-made cheeses.

With support from Village Books, the Wednesday Market will continue to offer the Fresh Local Music series that began in 2011, featuring a live performance every Wednesday afternoon from 2:30-4:30pm! Local favorite Chad Petersen will kick things off on Opening Day, and among the other performers slated for the 2015 season are Amber Darland, Chuck Dingee, Jean Mann, the Loofahs, and Quickdraw String Band, to name a few.

The Wednesday Market meets noon to 5 p.m. through Sept. 30 at the Fairhaven Village Green behind Village Books.
