Permaculture author Toby Hemenway to speak in Bellingham Sept. 14

BELLINGHAM – Best-selling permaculture author Toby Hemenway will visit Bellingham on Monday, Sept. 14, presenting his new book and examples of ecological design in cities and towns across North America.

Hemenway is author of Gaia’s Garden: A Guide to Home-Scale Permaculture, the best-selling permaculture book in the world. His new book, The Permaculture City: Regenerative Design for Urban, Suburban, and Town Resilience, will be available at the evening’s presentation.
He will start with a book signing at 6:30 p.m. followed by the presentation at 7 p.m., taking place at Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship, located at 1207 Ellsworth Street in Bellingham. This event is free and open to the public, and sponsored by Transition Whatcom and Inspiration Farm. Donations are accepted to help cover costs of organizing the event.
